The Canine Coven Adolescent Dog Services
As your puppy grows into a teenager, you might notice their energy levels spike, new behaviours develop and training might feel like more of a challenge! This stage is all about guiding that new energy in the right direction. The Canine Coven uses fun, reward-based training to help you navigate training through adolescence by helping your dog build better focus, engagement, confidence and learning to manage excitement. Learn all about the adolescent dog brain, how to handle behaviours such as separation anxiety, reactivity, poor focus, how to recognise stress and excitement, and how to use positive training techniques.
Lydia offers a fun Middle School course aimed at the adolescent dog brain, and 1-1 training options. Read below to see which option best suits you.
Middle School Classes
The Canine Coven's Middle School Classes are designed for dogs aged 6-24 months, focusing on building confidence and understanding their emotions and behaviors during the adolescent stage.
Led by Lydia, the course addresses foundational skills focusing on important topics each week and specific needs of adolescent dogs, such as walking on lead, recall, separation anxiety, and much more. Perfect for those who want to understand their dogs behaviours more and learn positive training techniques along with them. Classes maintain small group sizes for personalised attention.
For £75, you'll receive 4 engaging classes, weekly digital booklets, personalised advice, and a certificate of completion with a small freebie. Enroll today to help your adolescent dog thrive in a supportive environment! Thursdays 6.30pm.
1-1 Training
After completing Middle School, the best way to keep your dog’s progress going is through personalised 1-1 training. Because your dog already knows their trainer, it’s a smooth and seamless step forward, building on the skills they’ve learned in class and tailoring the next stage to your goals. For new dogs, head to the 1-1 Page.
In 1-1 sessions, we can focus on the areas that matter most to you and your dog, such as handling excitement and distractions on walks, improving lead walking and recall further, continue to build their confidence, working with separation anxiety and helping them settle into family life easier with tailored routines.
Check out the 1-1 Training page to find out what is included in a 1-1 package. Prices start at £140 for dogs who have attended Middle School, and from £150 for new dogs.
